This hands-on, interactive workshop introduces a new teaching format for familiarizing students with co-creation methods. By leveraging soft skills such as empathy, imagination, and creativity the method enables students to translate complex global challenges into very concrete, personal cases. The co-creation challenge is geared toward equipping students for 21st century workplaces in areas that require complex problem-solving skills and collaboration, such as sustainability, innovation or entrepreneurship. Concrete application cases, as well as useful tips and materials for implementing the method in the classroom will equip educators with the ability to use the co-creation challenge in the context of their own teaching. In the context of the workshop, an exemplary co-creation challenge will be staged around the challenge of "Ageing Populations: contributions of higher education institutions to preventing ageism and promoting inclusion".
This session is part of the Teaching and Learning Conference. A registration fee of USD$130 is required at https://aom.link/RegisterForAOM2019. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to register is August 11, unless sold out.
