he purpose of this panel symposium is to allow a venue for scholars and practitioners with diverse organizational perspectives to discuss their challenges, learn about cutting edge research, and/or discuss ways they might increase inclusion in organizations. We “pull back the curtain” by offering a variety of lenses for examining inclusiveness, as it is unlikely true inclusiveness will come from focusing on only one perspective. We presume that many of the challenges emanate from and are sustained by the same root causes, as addressed by implicit bias and System Justification Theory. Specifically, our panel includes experts on gender bias; racial/ethnic bias and cultural competence; bullying and hazing; and strategies for workers to speak up about their values. By including experts with several different organizational perspectives, we aim to: (1) stimulate a synergistic discussion about inclusiveness facilitators and challenges, and (2) develop ideas for what a truly inclusive organization looks like.
