Given the volume of research and interest in the area of inclusion, it is time to take stock of the state of research and practice, to explore additional avenues of research, and to set an agenda for future research and practice. Therefore, the purpose of this panel symposium is to engage a group of diverse panelists in a moderated, interactive discussion of the following: 1) the state of inclusion research (e.g., which concepts are clear and which concepts still need to be defined, inclusive leadership and how it is different from other forms of leadership, international perspective on inclusion), 2) how inclusion research has translated to practice, 3) what inclusion practices currently work, and 4) what research and practice is still needed in the area of inclusion.
